Feil Residence Hall at Brooklyn Law School by RAMSA

Photographer: Peter Aaron

Architect/Designer: Robert A.M. Stern Architects

Client: Robert A.M. Stern Architects

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Shoot Date:
April 06, 2006
This new 360-bed graduate residence hall for the Brooklyn Law School is located on the corner of Boerum and State Streets. Catering to the needs of law students, many of whom are returning to school after other careers, the building’s 239 units are laid out like small apartments with communal amenities on the ground and top floors. The building is part of the Law School’s ongoing effort to create a campus in the Borough Hall area of Brooklyn. The residence hall's classical detailing visually connects it to the Law School addition designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects in 1994, two blocks away, but its red brick expression makes it clearly part of the neighborhood that the Law School's students can now call home. (RAMSA)
