The homeowners, Emmy award-winning newlyweds, wanted their first home to be a sanctuary for their treasured down-time from work travel. They also recognized that the 10-year old condominium had an aging kitchen and layout challenges to overcome.

The design infused a West-Coast inspired, casual, organic-modern aesthetic into the living areas, and an East Coast, nautical feel in the bedroom. The ocean was the touchstone for the project, and materials and finishes used throughout reference textures and colors found in and around water.

The home serves as a soulful oasis to power down or entertain at a moments notice - a getaway in the heart of Brooklyn. (CAV Design)
