Part of the The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center, The James is the largest cancer hospital in the Midwest and the third largest in the nation. Completed in 2014, The James Cancer Hospital & Solove Research Institute has a total of 21 floors at 1.1million square feet. With 306 inpatient beds including a 36-bed blood and marrow transplant unit, 14 operating rooms, 6 interventional radiology suites, 7 linear accelerators for radiation therapy and translational research labs on each inpatient floor, a patient has access to a state-of-the-art healing environment. The hospital itself has been achieved Magnet designation, the highest honor an organization can receive for quality patient care and professional nursing practice.
