This 1750s Georgian Mansion is the oldest house in Washington D.C., which wasn't founded until 1790. The house was moved in 1934 from Massachusetts to D.C. by Miriam and George Maurice Morris, a fertilizer heiress and her lawyer husband. Decades later, Mariette Himes Gomez was hired to re-decorate the house, and honor it's history while making it a livable home. (Architectural Digest, February 2014)
