Working with Carlos Zapata Studios, we helped create the ultimate Miami office space for this international financial firm – sleek, high-end but in bright colors and breezy shapes inspired by the adjacent ocean. Using a golden patina and aquamarine tints, we warmed the typically minimalistic pairing of steel and glass that were to be the defining materials throughout. In the lobby, a curved, stainless steel, illuminated panel is punctuated by a cantilevered glass reception desk, and in the hallways, the panels are rhythmically paired with cast glass “sails” that billow out from the walls and offices. For public meeting spaces, traditional clear glass partitions are used in reverse combination from the lobby, with custom metal furniture and a steel surface jutting through the wall to form a conference table that we executed as well.
